LHC buying Ga.-based home health service provider

<div id="subtitle">LHC Group to buy Georgia-based Hutcheson Home Health for undisclosed terms</div><div><p>Home health service provider LHC Group Inc. said Monday it has agreed to buy Georgia-based Hutcheson Home Health for an undisclosed amount.</p><p>The deal to buy all of Hutcheson's assets is expected to be completed March 1.</p><p>Hutcheson is based in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. Its service area includes six counties in Georgia.</p><p>Lafayette, La.-based LHC is not immediately disclosing the purchase amount, said Eric Elliott, LHC's vice president of investor relations.</p><p>LHC also said it has entered into a home health joint venture with Hardin Medical Center, a 58-bed health care facility in Savannah, Tenn. The deal was completed Feb. 1.</p><p>Hardin's primary service area includes six Tennessee counties.</p><p>Shares of LHC fell 25 cents to $29.55.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=68703162&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
